RWC has today announced that Davide Basile has recruited Justin Craib-Cox to bolster his Convertible Bond investment team. Craib-Cox has spent over 24 years working in financial services and over a decade in convertible bond markets. He was responsible for the Aviva Convertible Bond team where he spent over six years and prior to that he was within the Convertible Bond team at M&G.
Basile joined RWC 10 years ago to build out the Convertible Bond team and is now responsible for over $1.2bn in AUM across a range of institutional accounts and UCITS funds that specialise in Global Convertibles and Asia specific Convertible Funds.
Davide Basile, Head of Global Convertibles team, commented:
“We are seeing significantly increased interest in the convertibles asset class as the rate and volatility environment provide a compelling backdrop for using convertible funds in diversified portfolios. Justin comes with a strong background in convertibles having been both a Europe focused analyst and portfolio manager.
“We have known each other for many years and it is a really great opportunity to bring him into RWC. We see renewed opportunities within the asset class and Justin’s experience in analysis, portfolio management and client interactions, will provide a significant enhancement to the team’s ability to grow and take advantage of the market environment.
Dan Mannix, CEO commented:
“Under Davide’s stewardship we have developed a market leading position in the convertible bond space. It’s a great vote of confidence in the opportunities in the asset class that Davide has chosen now to build out the team with someone as experienced and well regarded as Justin.
