Ignis appoints European sales director to cover Nordic region

Ignis Asset Management is delighted to announce the appointment of Johan Rydqvist, who will be joining the Ignis European sales team to cover the Nordic region in early February. Rydqvist, who joins Ignis from Bank Sarasin Asset Management, is the latest addition to Ignis’ recently recruited 10-strong European distribution team and will report directly to Philip Goldsmith, Managing Director Europe.
Johan will be responsible for developing Ignis’ distribution capability and servicing key clients in the Nordic region including; Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland. Johan will be primarily responsible for developing Ignis’ presence in the wholesale and institutional markets.

Prior to joining Ignis Johan worked for Bank Sarasin Asset Management where he was responsible for the wholesale fund market in Scandinavia during 2009. Prior to that he was an Investment Consultant at Credit Suisse PB International in Zurich.

Johan Rydqvist qualified as an Accountant with PriceWaterhouseCoopers in 2006 and holds the CFA charter. He also holds a Masters degree in Economics, graduating from Jonkoping Int. Business School (JIBS) in 2004.
