Kames Capital continues to strengthen its multi-award winning fixed income team

Kames Capital has continued to strengthen its multi-award winning fixed income team with the appointment of Mark Benbow.*

 

Benbow joins as an investment analyst and will be working with the high yield part of the fixed income team. He will report to Phil Milburn, the co-manager of the Kames High Yield Bond Fund and the Kames High Yield Global Bond Fund.

 

He joins Kames from Scottish Widows Investment Partnership where he was an analyst on its global equities team with responsibility for global telecommunications research. At Kames he will work with Phil and the high yield team as they look to further develop their expertise in the leveraged finance asset class.

 

Benbow has five years asset management experience and has previously worked for Morgan Stanley and Redmayne-Bentley Stockbrokers. He has an MSc in Investment and Finance and a first class honours degree in Management and Economics.

 

Milburn says: “I am delighted to welcome someone of Mark’s calibre to the team. We are currently witnessing increased dispersion across sectors and specific bonds in the high yield universe, therefore it is vital to have a skilled analytical team to exploit these opportunities.”
