Andy Kelly joins Kames to lead cash distribution
Kames Capital has strengthened its London-based institutional sales team with the appointment of Andy Kelly as business development manager.
In a new role reporting to Peter Ball, director of institutional business, Andy will focus on introducing the firm’s cash and liquidity solutions to corporate treasurers, pension funds, banks and insurance companies.
Kelly joins from Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM), where he was head of corporate and financial institutions. Before that, he was head of liquidity distribution at LGIM, where he established a third-party liquidity distribution business. In a 27-year career, Kelly has worked in treasury-related roles for Fidelity International, RBC Dexia Investor Services, JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley and Barclays.
Kelly will work closely with Kames Capital’s head of treasury Brian Jack, who joined from Ignis in 2015 to lead the cash and liquidity team, which oversees over £5 billion on behalf of insurance and third-party clients.
Commenting on the appointment, Peter Ball said: “Andy joins at an exciting time for Kames Capital as we continue to grow and diversify our business. At a time of increasing demand for cash and liquidity solutions he will help present our capabilities to a broader range of institutional clients. We welcome him to the firm.”
