Legg Mason promotes Joe O’Donnell to Head of Wealth Management Distribution and Investment Trusts

Legg Mason is pleased to announce the promotion of Joe O’Donnell to head of wealth management distribution and investment trusts.

In this newly created role, Joe will report to Alexander Barry, Head of UK Sales at Legg Mason. Joe joined the firm in 2007 and has over 10 years of experience at Legg Mason as regional sales director, responsible for fund sales to intermediaries across England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. Joe joined the firm from Barclays Wealth having spent eight years there as a portfolio manager, while prior to Barclays Wealth he also held various senior positions at Rensburg Sheppards (now Investec Wealth and Investment).

Commenting on the appointment, Alex Barry said: “The wealth management channel is undergoing significant change and is a core focus for our UK business. We have promoted Joe to this newly established role so we can better service this hugely important part of the market.”
