Do Voters Still Want To Leave The EU? How They View The Brexit Process Two Years On
While policy wonks and lobby journalists have been weighing up the benefits of Theresa May’s Chequers deal and a Canada-type free trade agreement, it seems many of us have done an about-turn on Brexit.
As the negotiations enter a critical phase, research agency NatCen has released a bombshell new report revealing how public opinion is turning against Britain’s impending EU exit.
If given the opportunity to vote in a second referendum, 59% of us would put an ‘X’ in the Remain box, compared with the 48% of people that swung this way in 2016, the report found.
The Prime Minister remains steadfast in her determination to get Brexit over the line, although Remainers will be hoping she has a change of heart if the calls to stay grow louder.
