MRM Future Finance: An audience with Mitesh Sheth, CEO of Redington
We are thrilled to bring to you the first in our new live Future Finance interview series in which we quiz financial services leaders about the hot topics affecting their sector as well as the people who inspire them most.
In the MRM interview chair for the first in the series is Mitesh Sheth, chief executive of leading investment consultancy Redington, who will discuss how financial services can become more inclusive, trustworthy, and more representative of society.
Since taking over as chief executive in 2016, Sheth and his colleagues have won praise for creating one of the City of London’s most open, innovative and inclusive workplace cultures and for putting diversity at the top of the agenda. Redington is seen as having shaken up an industry dominated by Willis Towers Watson, Mercer and Aon. Clients of Redington are quick to point to its unique culture as the number one reason they recommend the firm. Building a sustainable culture, empowering young leaders, and embracing diversity are all of vital importance to Sheth.
In this interview Sheth will give us a rare insight into the principles that underpin the distinct style of leadership that, to many, is a refreshing alternative to the norm in the industry. We will get to understand the inspiration behind Sheth’s approach and one of his greatest influences, the late social reformer Pandurang Shastri Athavale, who would have turned 100 this year. Athavale, or ‘Dadaji’ as he is commonly known, is a Templeton prize winner and is credited with liberating millions of people from poverty during his lifetime.
