Back by popular demand: The Cofunds tax planning master-classes
In response to adviser demand following last year’s series of enlightening end of tax year master-classes, Cofunds, the independent platform for financial planning, is working with tax experts Technical Connection throughout February and March to bring advisers the latest technical insight around tax planning for 2010. The first of 18 sessions is being held on the 23rd February in the East Midlands. To find out more about these workshops please contact Cofunds on 0845 604 4001.
Through a range of online products and services, a suite of tools and a comprehensive programme of events, Cofunds looks to support advisers with financial planning. These master-classes offer advisers practical ideas to assist them in building robust plans for their clients for the year ahead and will include the following:
– A PBR summary: Both retrospective and a look ahead to 2010 –11, highlighting the financial and taxation challenges facing clients.
– Income tax, corporation tax, NIC, CGT and IHT: What the tax world looks like and how to minimise “tax leakage”.
– A financial fitness audit: A practical approach to managing tax. This is an action plan which advisers can use to review their client’s tax position and demonstrate a pro-active approach.
Cofunds sales and marketing director Alastair Conway said: “The demand for these sessions has been phenomenal. It is clear that advisers are looking for practical help on tax planning issues and running these master-classes in conjunction with Technical Connection is just one of the ways in which we are working to support advisers beyond our online tools and services. This is all part of our firm focus on giving advisers the options they need to make informed decisions on how they choose to work. It is all about enabling advisers to do business their way.”
