Barclays Wealth re-issues Super Tracker
- Investment issued by Barclays Bank PLC
- Two investment term options of three or five years
- A potential return of 60% for the five-year option or 27% for 3 years.
- Capital will be lost if the FTSE 100 Index falls by 50% and, at maturity, is below the initial level
Barclays Wealth has re-launched its Super Tracker for investors seeking stock market participation and competitive returns even if the FTSE 100 only achieves a modest rise.
Available now, the Super Tracker offers two options for investors. The five-year option offers three times the first 20% rise in the FTSE 100 up to a maximum return of 60%, while the three-year option offers three times the first 9% rise in the Index up to a maximum return of 27%.
In both cases, investors’ capital is lost if the Index falls below 50% of its starting level during the term and is below the starting level at maturity. If this occurs, capital is lost on a 1:1 basis. In both cases, the downside risk is not observed during the last month of the term.

Lisa Chaudhuri, vice president, Barclays Wealth, says:
“Attractive returns in lower growth markets remain elusive which makes our Super Tracker ideal as it features in-built gearing – effectively multiplying any positive growth in the Index. This ability to ‘accelerate’ growth will strike a chord with investors exposed to underperforming investments and seeking a potential route to recovery.”
