Barclays Wealth re-issues Super Tracker with improved rates
- Investment issued by Barclays Bank PLC
- Two investment term options of three or five years
- A potential return of 66% for the five-year option
- Capital will be lost if the FTSE 100 Index falls by 50% and is below the initial level at maturity
Barclays Wealth has re-launched its Super Tracker for investors seeking competitive returns in a low growth environment.
Available now, the Super Tracker offers two options for investors. The five-year option offers three times the first 22% rise in the FTSE 100 up to a maximum return of 66%, while the three-year option offers three times the first 9% rise in the Index up to a maximum return of 27%.
In both cases, investors’ capital is at risk if the Index falls below 50% of its starting level during the term and is below the starting level at maturity. If this occurs, capital is lost on a 1:1 basis. In both cases, the downside risk is not observed during the last month of the term.

Lisa Chaudhuri, vice president, Barclays Wealth, says: “With its ability to provide high returns in a relatively low-growth environment, the Super Tracker remains a key strategy in our core range of investment offerings. The potential benefits of gearing up smaller changes in the FTSE have been demonstrated by our recent Super Tracker maturities, a number of these having delivered their maximum returns after six years.”
