Cantor appoints director of retail equity research

Cantor Fitzgerald Europe (CFE) has hired Mark Photiades as director of equity research covering the general retail sector from its office in London.
Photiades, who has covered the UK retail sector for more than a decade, has worked at a number of brokerages including Canaccord Genuity, N+1 Singer and Landsbanki, having begun his career in 2004 at Bridgewell.
In his new role, Photiades will focus on CFE’s extensive range of general retail companies, leading the coverage across names in the sector including ASOS, SuperGroup, JD Sports Fashion, Laura Ashley, Victoria and Dunelm.
