“I’m delighted that we have received such a prestigious award, which is fantastic recognition of the great job done by the team over what was an extremely challenging year for our industry. Our prudent approach to both credit and liquidity was of paramount importance during a period of unprecedented volatility. Maintaining our performance track record through this environment was hugely satisfying.
“We will look to build on the successes of 2009 as we enhance our product range and grow the franchise in 2010.”
Structured as an Irish domiciled UCITS III regulated umbrella fund, the Ignis Liquidity Fund is available in sterling, Euro and US dollar denominations, providing a choice of liquidity and performance objectives. The managers invest in highly rated transferable securities such as certificates of deposit, floating rate notes and commercial paper.
Commenting on the award, Jonathan Polin, director of Ignis Asset Management, says:
“Brian and his team have done an outstanding job in a challenging market environment. The fund is consistently one of the top five liquidity funds in the IMMFA sector and this award is well deserved given the team’s strong relative outperformance and robust investment process.”
