Kames Capital appoints Head of Treasury
Kames Capital has appointed Brian Jack as its new head of treasury.
In the new role Jack will report to Kames’ head of investment implementation Bob Laws. His responsibilities will include overseeing the management of the cash and liquidity team and will have assets totalling over £5 billion under his remit. Jack will also be looking to make improvements to the team’s products’ which will result in further opportunities to grow assets under management.
Jack joins Kames from Ignis Asset Management where he headed up its Cash & Securities Lending/Repo business. Prior to this he worked as an analyst/portfolio manager at Scottish Widows Investment Partnership jointly managing three big multi-currency liquidity funds.
Speaking on Jack’s appointment Laws says: ‘Brian joins Kames at a very exciting time for our business as we look to strengthen our Treasury capabilities in order to support our growing and diversified fund management activities. He has a wealth of experience in his field and he will become a key component in the development of our business in this area in the months and years to come.’
Jack says: “I am a very much looking forward to the challenge of growing our assets under management and to working with Bob and the Treasury team, as we look to improve our cash management platform to provide improved product choice and enhanced risk adjusted returns”.
