Kames Capital reduces charge on UK Equity Income Fund
Kames Capital is to reduce the annual management charge on the Kames UK Equity Income Fund to make it one of the most competitive amongst its peers.
The move, which will take effect from 1 November 2016, will see the AMC reduced to 0.60% from 0.75% on the fund’s ‘B’ Share Class.
The Kames UK Equity Income Fund invests at least 80% in UK equities and aims to achieve a historic yield on the distributable income in excess of 110% of the FTSE All Share yield at the fund’s year end. It is managed by Douglas Scott and Iain Wells, who have a nearly 50 years’ combined industry experience.
The fund, which launched in June 2009, is currently ranked first quartile over one, three and five years.*
The reduction in the Kames UK Equity Income Fund’s AMC follows a review of the fund’s pricing structure to ensure it is remains competitive in its sector.
Steve Kenny, director of wholesale at Kames Capital says: “With the new AMC and its excellent track record over the last five years, which has seen it consistently achieve top quartile performance, there is no reason why this fund should not be at the top of UK equity income investors’ buy-list.”
