Kames Capital strengthens property investment team
Kames Capital has strengthened its investment property team with the appointment of Jim Hartley.
Hartley joins Kames as a senior asset manager working on Kames’ active value range of funds, and will report to Kames’ property fund manager Philip Bach. In his new role Hartley will support Bach in the management of the UK Active Value Close Ended Fund and Helen Batten in the management of the open ended version of the fund.
Hartley joins Kames from Tilfen Land where he was an asset manager focussing on investing in London and the South East. Prior to Tilfen, he was an asset manager at ING Real Estate Investment Management.
Wise says: ‘Jim is a very experienced property asset manager and his appointment further strengthens our capabilities in what we term the ‘active value’ part of the UK property market. Our active value funds invest directly in UK commercial property, with a focus on identifying attractively valued assets offering the potential to add value through active management. Both funds aim to provide an attractive income with the potential for capital growth.’
