Local businesses join forces for Christmas concert
Guildford & Godalming-based businesses Thesis Asset Management and Roffe Swayne have come together to host a Christmas Concert in the grounds of Guildford Cathedral.
Hosted on Tuesday 18th December, the two firms enjoyed an evening of 40s, 50s and 60s Christmas songs with approximately 200 guests being entertained by the singing group The Lay Clerks. The evening featured a tour of the Cathedral as well as festive wine from The Bolney Estate.
The partnership between Thesis and Roffe Swayne, a 100 staff local chartered accountants and tax advisory company, came about following a successful new networking group event held by Thesis Asset Management ‘The Experts Network’, created in November 2018.
The Experts Network is a collaboration of over 25 Surrey-based private client focused businesses across different disciplines. They meet on a quarterly basis with the inaugural event held in November 2018 at The Ivy Castle View in Guildford.
Jem Turrell, Guildford Office Director and Investment Manager, Thesis Asset Management, said: “Part of our aim with The Experts Network was to create more collaboration between businesses in Guildford and the surrounding area. As such we are delighted to have been able to put on this incredibly successful event with a business such as Roffe Swayne.
It was a thoroughly enjoyable event and we are grateful to all those that attended and The Lay Clerks for providing some great entertainment. I hope we left people with a bit of Christmas cheer.”
Linda Warner, Tax Partner at Roffe Swayne, added: “Hosting this Christmas concert with Thesis has been a real pleasure. By being part of a group such as The Experts Network we have already been able to establish some quality working relationships with other professionals locally.
We want to wish everyone who attended and all those in the region a very Merry Christmas.”
