Morison rejoins MRM as a director and head of internal comms
Hilary Morison has come back into the MRM Group fold, joining the independently owned media services business as a director in its public relations consultancy, MRM. She will also develop and head up the consultancy’s internal comms proposition.
Morison, who was at MRM from 2006 to 2012, rejoins the business from specialist marketing consultancy the lang cat where she has been a strategic PR director since 2019. Prior to that she spent over five years at James Hay Partnership, initially as head of communications and latterly as head of Human Resources with responsibility for internal communications across the 750-person organisation.
As with MRM Group Head of Marketing Rebecca Christensen, Morison will be based in Edinburgh, strengthening MRM’s presence in Scotland where the Group has a number of clients. She will report directly to MRM Group CEO Andrew Appleyard.
Commenting, Appleyard said: “It’s such a pleasure to welcome someone of Hilary’s calibre back to the business and to have her based in Edinburgh is an added bonus. She is an operator of the highest quality and the experience and expertise she has gained in-house and in-agency during her time away from MRM will be a tremendous asset to the business and our clients.
“We have been looking to bolster our internal comms capabilities for some time and in Hilary we now have someone with the knowledge and proven track record to lead that proposition, providing valuable counsel to clients new and old.”
Morison added: “Coming back to MRM feels like a home-coming. Thanks in no small part to the impressive continuity of the senior management team, the business remains familiar. Yet at the same time, seeing how it has evolved over the last 10 years gives as clear an indication as I have ever seen of a business primed for even bigger and better things. I cannot wait to get stuck back in and play my part.”
