@OpenworkOnline embarks on RDR workshops and seminars across the UK
Openwork is hosting a series of local seminars and in-depth workshops across the UK to help its pensions and investment advisers gain a deeper understanding of the RDR and the challenges presented by fee-charging models.
The support programme, taking in a wide variety of venues from Aberdeen to Southampton, entails specialist business transition teams guiding small groups of advisers through the practical implications of the RDR and the different ways in which they can approach the move to fees. The programme also enables advisers to access expert advice on client segmentation and cash flow analysis in order to gain a clearer understanding of the impact on profitability of different income streams.
Openwork will be in a position to support advisers who move to a fee-charging model early in 2011 following the introduction of a new operations framework which will enable fee-based remuneration and meet the other operational demands of the RDR.
Openwork Programme Director Phil Mogford says: “Our support programme has been specifically designed to provide face-to-face assistance to small groups of advisers to ensure they fully understand the practical ramifications of the RDR, and also the different ways in which they can begin to move towards a fee-charging model with the level of ongoing service that this demands.”
“Our structured support programme will be ongoing – not just for the next two years – and comprise the continued provision of expert advice as well as a range of tools, education initiatives and guides designed to arm advisers with everything they require to thrive following the introduction of the RDR in 2012.”
