Openwork to launch new pensions panel
Openwork is launching a new pensions panel, featuring a number of leading providers, as part of its ongoing drive to enhance its product offering to advisers.
The new panel, which will be officially unveiled at the 2011 Openwork National Conference on Thursday 20 January at the ICC in Birmingham, will combine existing single tie provider Aegon with new providers including Legal & General, Scottish Widows, Prudential, Met Life and Zurich.
The panel will be launched to advisers through a series of nationwide road shows starting Tuesday 1 February. Advisers using the new panel will have access to products including Prudential’s Trustee Investment Plan, which offers access to Prudential’s market leading With-Profits fund, MetLife’s Guaranteed Retirement Portfolio and Trustee Retirement Portfolio, Legal & General’s Portfolio Plus Pension and Zurich’s SIPP and Protected Rights Transfer Plan.
Openwork’s existing single tie proposition, comprising Aegon’s Flexible Pension Plan and the Hornbuckle Mitchell SIPP, is also being enhanced with the addition of Hornbuckle Mitchell’s Income Drawdown and Scheme Pension.
Graham Angell, Pensions and Investment Proposition Director, Openwork, says: “The new pensions panel is a significant development for Openwork and represents a key part of our strategy to enhance our overall product offering to advisers.
“The panel will provide access to some of the best pensions products in the market – from some of the leading providers in their respective areas – enabling our advisers to directly offer their clients improved choice and a more comprehensive service. Those wishing to continue operating the existing proposition will also benefit from our development drive with the inclusion of Hornbuckle Mitchell’s additional products.”
