P-Solve expands DB team
P-Solve, the investment consultant and fiduciary manager, has expanded its defined benefit team after appointing Ian Blake as a Director within the business.
Having graduated with a Masters degree from the University of Warwick, he has spent almost a decade at Willis Towers Watson, most recently as a senior investment consultant and qualified actuary.
In his new role at P-Solve, Ian, who has extensive experience in both fiduciary management and investment advisory services, particularly around working with trustees to set objectives and implement risk management strategies, will work with UK DB pension schemes and support the team’s continued growth.
Ian said: “It is a fantastic opportunity to be joining P-Solve as they continue to pioneer innovative solutions that help clients achieve their funding and investment goals; I am looking forward to this new challenge”.
Ajeet Manjrekar, co-Head of P-Solve, added: “We are delighted to welcome Ian to P-Solve. He has a great understanding of the investment challenges facing the DB pension scheme market as we continue to evolve our client-led solutions.”
The hire is the latest at P-Solve, following the recent appointment of Damon Hopkins as Associate Director within its DC investment consulting team.
Manjrekar added: “We have been providing investment advisory services to pension schemes since 2001 and were the first fiduciary management provider in the UK, reaching our 15-year track record later this year. Irrespective of engagement model, our clients have enjoyed strong performance underpinning consistent funding progress towards their goals. Ian’s appointment reflects our continued commitment to support the evolving needs of our existing and future clients with strong investment consulting expertise”.
