Redington appoints Horsfall & Drake as managing directors in investment consulting team
Redington has further expanded its investing consulting team with the appointment of two new managing directors. Both hires are industry heavyweights with significant experience and represent the firm’s successful growth journey and commitment to expanding the expertise it is able to provide to its pension clients.
Andrew Drake, a former PwC partner, brings more than 25 years’ experience in the industry having co-founded River & Mercantile Solutions (previously P-Solve). At PwC he’d had responsibility for the UK pensions investment consultancy business and has extensive experience working with institutional investors to help them achieve their investment goals.
Nick Horsfall joins from the Asset Management Exchange (AMX) where he also acted as a member of the firm’s advisory board. Before this, he was a managing director in Willis Towers Watsons’ investment practice, where he worked for more than 30 years.
Both appointments play a pivotal role in the future growth and development of Redington’s investment consulting capabilities and achieving its overarching mission of helping to make 100 million people financially secure.
Patrick O’Sullivan, Head of Investment Consulting at Redington said: “Our skilled and passionate investment consulting team is something we’re hugely proud of at Redington, supported by our dedicated manager research team, proprietary risk analytics and cutting-edge technology. As we continue to grow our business, we are always looking for the right people to strengthen our team and build upon the expertise, talent and quality of service our clients have come to expect from us.
“Nick and Andrew’s extensive experience will be invaluable in helping trustees and sponsors navigate the increasingly complex investment decisions they must make, giving them full confidence that they are securing the best possible outcome for their members.”
Andrew Drake commented: “I’m delighted to join Redington at such an exciting time in their expansion. The pensions industry continues to face profound challenges and the need for original thinking, practical insight and independent advice is greater than ever. I look forward to delivering this advice as part of Redington’s talented team to enable our clients to achieve financial security.”
Nick Horsfall commented: “I think it’s essential that asset owners can access high quality, truly independent investment advice.
