SEI Expands UK Fiduciary Management Team
SEI (NASDAQ:SEIC) today announced the appointment of Simon Betteley as a Sales Director for the UK Institutional Sales Team. Simon will report to Ian Love, Head of Institutional Sales for the EMEA region at SEI, and will be responsible for growing SEI’s Fiduciary Management business in the UK with particular focus on larger asset pension schemes. The decision to expand SEI’s Fiduciary Management team in the UK is a direct result of the unit’s considerable success over the last twelve months, including significant growth at the large end of the Defined Benefit market, and within the Defined Contribution market, where SEI has a leading DC Master Trust solution.
Simon joins SEI from Blackrock where he was a Director in the EMEA Institutional Client Business Team. Prior to this role, Simon held investment and pension consultancy positions at both Aon Hewitt and Mercer, where he was latterly involved in the Fiduciary Management business. Simon has considerable experience in working with large pension schemes to address their funding goals and is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries.
Commenting on the appointment Ian Love, Head of Institutional Sales for the EMEA region, said:
“We are delighted to welcome Simon to SEI. His previous experience in both asset management and investment consultancy will prove invaluable as we continue to grow our relationships with larger clients. Simon is joining SEI at an exciting time as we are experiencing significant success in the UK due to the strength of both our team and our offering. 2017 is set to be a landmark year in Fiduciary Management. There is a spotlight on the outcomes of the FCA Asset Management Review, which we believe could transform the market. We look forward to working with Simon to further build the business in the UK.”
