Sesame Bankhall Group focuses on investment markets and platforms in first virtual event of 2011
Sesame Bankhall Group is focusing on the latest developments in investment markets and the platform arena in its first virtual conference of 2011, which is taking place on 22 February between 9.30am and 12.30pm.
In the first of four virtual conferences taking place this year, advisers will be able to participate in interactive panel debates via a live question feed. Nick Kelly, Sesame Bankhall Group’s managing director, will open the conference with an update on the group’s new investment platform proposition.
The panel debates will include senior figures from Sesame Bankhall Group, along with leading investment experts from Architas Multi-Manager, F&C Investments, Prudential, Russell Investments, Scottish Widows Investment Partnership (SWIP) and Seven Investment Management (7IM).
Keith Gilmour, Sesame Bankhall Group’s business development director, will close the event with a look ahead to further developments for advisers over the next 12 months. The virtual conference agenda will include:
- Investment markets outlook – Some of the UK’s leading investment and multi-manager experts provide advisers with the latest market insight and changes on the horizon. This includes a look at the approach being adopted by multi-managers, including their methodology and asset choices.
- Investment platform adoption and support – Bankhall head of sales Guy Peters and AXA Elevate’s Martin Coyle provide an insight into the processes involved in the successful adoption of platforms and the support that is available to help. This will include first-hand experiences from advisers themselves.
- Update on the One proposition – Keith Gilmour and Sesame Bankhall Group’s head of strategic propositions, Darren Smith, will address the key investment platform questions being raised by advisers, such as due diligence and business opportunities.
- Regulatory issues in the platform market – Sesame Bankhall Group’s risk director, Michael Couzens, will provide a regulatory outlook for advisers with an emphasis on the key compliance issues for firms when using platforms.
Keith Gilmour, business development director at Sesame Bankhall Group, says: “As the ISA season gets into full swing this is an ideal opportunity to give advisers the latest views on investment markets from some of the UK’s leading experts, such as where to invest and what to avoid. As well as previewing our 2011 ISA campaign we will also be updating advisers on our new One proposition investment platform, which is helping firms to build value in their businesses and ease the transition to the new RDR world.
“Given the demands on advisers’ time our virtual conferences are proving very popular alongside our face to face events. They enable advisers to gain a valuable insight into the issues that are relevant to their business with minimal disruption to their working day.”
